The sudden yet smooth and subtle vibe change in both The Weekend’s “I Was Never There” and Charlie Puth’s “Patient” is the reason why God gave us ears.

First of all, let me start by saying HAPPY ALBUM RELEASE DAY!
It’s so darn good!
Now, Charlie himself said that when all the songs are released it would be up to us to connect one song to another cause they do all tell a story.
So here’s my best guess.
Firstly, Patient obviously comes after How Long. He’s admitting he was wrong an he ain’t perfect and kinda asking for forgiveness and tolerance. That one i’m pretty confident about.
Now Slow It Down might actually be about the girl he cheated with which means that in concerning the time line of this, it would be Slow It Down – How Long – Patient.
However, Empty Cups kinda messes with me. I wanna say it’s another one about Selena but i ain’t sure, same goes for Boy.
This is where Attention comes in. Is it the same crazy unhinged chick from Slow It Down?! Or has it been already established that it’s about Selena?! But even if it was, it’d still make sense like the aforementioned chick finding out about the"Selena thing" and just going off.
LA Girls, imho, is literally just about Jersey. I mean you can take the boy out of Jersey but you can’t take Jersey out of the boy.
Through It All and The Way I Am are just masterpieces and probably my favorite so far, after Done For Me of course.
In conclusion, bless Charlie Puthington and may he find love and happiness soon so he can write us cool ass love songs with kickass melodies that are just the dopest!
